Kids Academy says goodbye for this season
After another highly successful & fun season, our Kids Academy drew to a close today for the summer with a heavy heart, the stalwarts & driving force of the Academy for the past 12 years, Mick & Noeleen Bolger, have decided to call it a day and there was a touching farewell & huge show of appreciation to both, from kids & parents alike.
And to Mike & Noeleen, from everyone at the club,THANK YOU,for the endless hours you have devoted to the kids of Skerries Town and enjoy the break guys, you deserve it but don't be strangers!!,
The final act for Mick was to read out the list of players involved with the three NEW teams competing in the league this year, under9 Green, under9 White & under9 Orange, a huge congratulations & thank you to the class of '14 and best of luck in the new season.
An open invitation to all parents to get involved in kids coaching, we have 3 new teams competing this year but at this moment in time we only have ONE management team in place, we desperately need parents to take up the mantle and take control of these kids and allow them to play, without additional volunteers we cant bring these kids on.
For anyone interested in coaching, (no experience is required, we'll provide the training), we are running the first level FAI coaching course, Kickstart1, on Aug 23rd in our clubhouse, please contact any of the club secretaries , your participation would be most welcome.
The Kids Academy will return in August for the new influx of Keanes, Duffs & McGeadys.
