Skerries Town U 10C had a comprehensive 6-0 win over rivals Dunshaughlin Youths in their League Cup game at a cold and breezy Dunshaughlin.
Skerries started the brighter and the Dunshaughlin goalkeeper made some telling saves early in the game. The visitors kept up the relentless pressure and were rewarded with goals from Joseph Delaney and Harley Williams that gave Skerries a comfortable lead at half time. HT 2-0
Continued pressure from Skerries after the break led to goals from Harley Williams (2) Joseph Delaney (1) and Ryan Deane (1). There were excellent performances from Tim, Ryan, Adam and Tom at the back. Ryan McGeehan made some brilliant saves to keep his netminding intact. Harley and Joseph bossed the midfield, while Niall Jordan McDermott had his most outstanding game to date. Liam had his usual sound performance. Melody was unfortunate that she was unwell and could only participate in the first quarter. Hope you are feeling better now, and our thoughts are with you.
Pat McDermott was very pleased with his charges and his continued policy of giving every player at least half a game in accordance with Leagues rules.
