Skerries town under 12f travelled to Glebe north in a top of the table derby clash on Sunday morning with both teams sat top of the league on the same points but Glebe just in front on goal different and a few games in hand this was set to be an exciting game and it didn't disappoint, Skerries took the kick off and with in the first twenty seconds Dion Keogh had a great shot saved by the Glebe keeper and the follow up by Liam Cullen just whistled wide of the post, but Skerries kept pushing forward and when the ball fell to Marvellous Onome on the edge of the area he made no mistake and found the top right hand corner after 5 mins, Glebe came back into the game and scored with a great header from a well worked corner 1-1 12mins and from the following corner Glebe yet again scored from a header 2-1 Glebe 18 mins gone, the rest of the half was even until the Glebe keeper launched a long ball forward with a big kick out and the Glebe forward managed to chip Kingsley Nwajei to make it 3-1 at half time,
The second half started with at a fast pace with both teams going for the game, with twenty minutes togo Liam Cullen found the bottom right hand corner of the net 3-2 and game on, Glebe were unlucky not to score a forth when they chipped
Kingsley from a tight angle and hit the inside of the post only for the ball to rebound back into the keepers hands, the equaliser for Skerries came from a great run from Daniel Krasiy down the left beating three players and crossing the ball across the area to find the unmarked David Ibidokun to slot home Skerries third to make it 3-3 with ten minutes togo, with the Skerries back three holding firm ( Killian Lynch, Nathan Grimes, Shaun Farren) the game was heading to a even draw, until Glebe won a corner and when the ball was whipped in and Glebe Scored yet again with header the Glebe players and fans went wild only for the joy to be short lived when the Refree ruled the goal out for the ball not being in play from the corner, after a hard fought game from both teams this was a fair result and Glebe north still sit top on goal different and the league in there hands with the two extra games to play it's going to be a hard run in but you never know what will happen !!!!!
